Developing a holistic culture: A holistic culture encourages us to live and love wholly, respecting our self, the earth, and all inhabitants as one organism. Developing the following 5 values will greatly assist in guiding society toward a holistic culture.
- Local – support local development, value self-sustaining communities
- Healthy – care for thyself; body, mind, and spirit
- Creative – create your dreams, entertain your imagination
- Conscious – explore consciousness, live mindfully
- Sustainable – build community, respect our earth and natural resources
Uniting for progress: We are all in this together and shall act as one unit. Our cause is mankind and our common goal is to flourish. “Unity for Progress” will unite progressive organizations around the community and encourage cooperative and collaborative efforts.
We enact Unity for Progress by:
- Facilitating uplifting and empowering conscious community events, encouraging networking and collaboration
- Developing the Community Cultivation Network (CCN) – a local network of interdependent entities, grassroots efforts working together to guide society through a great paradigm shift
LoveATX is a project of the LoveUnity Foundation, mission is:
Minimize socio-economic deficiencies by enabling conscious communities and providing support for a sustainable future.
LoveUnity aims to build “home-town security” by empowering local communities and developing local economy.
Foundations Goals:
- Love the Earth – reduce consumption and minimize waste by helping communities implement mindful and efficient practices
- Live sustainably – reduce universal dependence on centralized systems by promoting community support and sustainable living – ‘Go Off the Grid’
- Unite humanity – unite progressive organizations around the community, country, world by promoting cooperative and collaborative efforts as we continue forward – ‘Unity for Progress’

Hi,
I was wondering if there were any other spots for tabling during the Love ATX Fest on July 3rd. Texas Campaign for the Environment is a statewide, non-partisan, non-profit campaign that organizes citizen voices to affect political, environmental and social justice issues. You may know us by our victory in getting Dell and HP to start recycling their obsolete computers in Texas by passing a law in 2007. We also got our bill for TV recycling signed by Gov. Perry on Friday! Now we’re taking on Walmart to pressure them to provide drop off locations for electronic waste throughout Texas and the US. This will more than double the amount of drop off locations we have in the state and help the company fulfill its public sustainability goals.

Hi,
I’m interested in sustainable living in Austin. I would love to live in a self-sustaining house/co-op etc asap, and I’m very willing to put up with the downsides of it! (like living w/o water for a few days). I’ve heard of one house in Austin but can’t seem to find it anywhere online (I believe it was an informal co-op). Maybe y’all can help me out?
